Brilliant weekend, first trip back to Stoney with a decent bunch of lads for too long. Bobby J, Saunders and Chris “I’m NOT A VEGETARIAN” Terry were all in attendence, banter had been great from the drive up the road, could tell it was gonna be a goodun. Occasion sort of the Feein’ Market, a kind of town fair sorta thing, which in the olden days was when farmers would hire their “fees”, or hired hands for the summer. Nowadays it’s just a ton of stalls making money for charity, complete with a bar, burgers and CAMERON STOUT.
Anyway, started at lunchtime with a pint and a burger and hot dog combo. Great start, then had a couple of pints at the Marine, down at the harbour. Sun was trying to get through but the bloody haar was spoiling it. Haar’s a dick. Banter was flying. Sam’s MOT. I learned how to untie a double know, you have no idea how useful that’s gonna be at 3.30am sometime. Headed back into the Feein’ Market, met John Boy and a few others, quick drink then the important event of the day, putting. We’ve played putting in Stoney since we were practically toddlers, and it’s a long-running rivalry. Bobby J streaked off into the lead, Chris-Terry and Saunders were crap, and I plodded steadily along until Bobby J choked, and I took the cash prize. Easy.
Headed into the legendary shop that is Somerfield, bought a ridiculous amount of meat, and some beer and pork pies for the road, and headed up to Bobby’s for a BBQ. More beer (in the sun, yahay!) and stupid amounts of food. Kudos to Bob’s maw for garlic doughballs and veg.
Chris Terry The Vegetarian valiantly battled his way through the meat, even with the knowledge that last time he tried, he puked. Not this time tho! (Not yet anyway). Watched the footie with Bob’s parents, sister and nephew and niece, who had a great line in vegetarian gags. Headed out to the Station for a pint then home. Brilliant day. (Chris Terry puked during the night, waking up the Johnson household – face it mate, you’re a vegetarian now).
I’ll finish with a sexy pic of vegi CT, maybe we can get him a modelling job.

In all fairness – my breakfast was a sausage burger. This is the last I’ll say on the matter.
